    Those are interesting.

Josh Thompson is expected to fight KJ Noons in April, which is interesting as well.

This might finally be real competition stateside for the UFC.

Affliction and Strikeforce should merge, so long as Strikeforce doesn't have to assume Affliction's debt.

better to let Affliction die off and NOT pay their fighters 2 to 5 times their value.

I don't think they have contracts. My idea would be to merge, join rosters, and then put on Showtime events on an appropriate scale. Have eliminator fights and have all the titles defended at the PPV--every four months or so. And pay like Bellator (will).

Competition is good for the UFC, but anyone who has ever tried to step up to them has been KO'd. I don't see why this would be any different?

I think even if Affliction's roster merged with Strikeforce and they tried to pay them less the Affliction guys wouldnt really go for it, theyve had a taste of the sweet sweet nectar. Its a nice idea though. A Strikeforce-K-1 partnership would be cool though.

because strikeforce has said they're not trying to compete with the UFC. They'll build their brand and when (or if ever)they're ready they'll try and take the UFC on. Right now they're building slowly.. it's a smart way to go IMO.

In that case, it is smart. A hell of a lot smarter than what Affliction is doing
