Yes, he was. It was funny when whoever was near Derrick (I forget if it was an assistant or the trainer) put a towel over Derrick's head to cover up the crying.
I mean I can kinda understand it though, I mean the pick by Dyess caught him totally off guard, and he did run into at a decent speed chasing whoever it was.
Was he really crying? I remember once running into a pick that completely caught me offguard, and the pain caused me to have tears in my eyes. I wasn't crying about it, but it was just a reaction to the pain. I'm sure it has happened to plenty of people. Ever get hit hard in the nose? What happens? Tears pop up. Maybe that's what happened with Rose, but I'm just speculating.
It happened, theres probably no video to prove it to you, but it happened. But yea they showed him running into Dyess and my head would hurt after that too, probably not as bad as it was hurting rose but it would hurt nonetheless
Oh, it happened. It was on ESPN as part of the highlights. They also played it in slo-mo seceral times on NBA TV and Chris Webber made fun of him. I feel bad cause you know all the guys are going to make fun of him for it. It didn't help that they had a perfect angle with the camera zoomed in on his face. It was funny, and I'm betting after some of his buddies mention that he was getting made fun of by C Webb and The Glove he'll never let it happen again. At least while the cameras are around. lol. Why would it hurt his chances on winning ROY? That's silly. He got hit. Hard. Who cares outside of laughing a bit.
