Dana White offering good advice and showing compassion and understanding??? And it's not even Friday the 13th yet I don't totally agree that the UFC doesn't feed some if it's young fighters to the wolves too early, like Japanese orgs do, they still don't have their champions fighting newer or smaller fighters in non-title bouts so they get props for that.
Really, Dana? Why the fuck did you throw Sokoudjou to the wolves? I know that he had two awesome KO's over in Pride, but he clearly wasn't ready for upper echelon competition.
Dana is one to talk. Paulo Thiago is being brought into the UFC (with no experience outside of Brazil) and put on TV right away against welterweight star Josh Koscheck. Or Brock Lesnar being brought in and facing Frank Mir. Also, I think Dana gets a kick out of seeing PRIDE guys lose.
oh yeah, he totally wanted most of the Pride guys to get their ass handed too them after reading all the Pride>UFC stuff on the UG. What Dana really ment was, "If I like the guy, I'll give him a ton of chances and bring him along slowly... otherwise it depends on the mood I'm in"
I think Dana White does need Ishii. Obviously he won't say it but having an olympic hero would help him greatly in breaking into the Japanese market.
