yep. now that brand is out for the year, they actually have a shot at making the 2nd round(if they can get to the 4th or 5th seed).

They might make the playoffs, but let's be serious ... nobody thinks they'll remotely challenge Boston, Cleveland or Orlando to even get out of the first round. Philly knows it needs to build for the future.

We're still after a guy whom we've never been after.

Probably the same delusional guy who thinks Philly is 4 or a 5 seed. :biglaugh:

They're a game out of the 5th seed... they're probably a better team than Miami and on par with Atlanta and Detroit (who are the current 4 and 5 seeds). I don't think it's delusional for them to go for the 4th seed and second round...

they are only a game out of 5th place and have gone 13-8 without brand this season(compared to 13-16 with him). now that brand is out for the year, they definitely are a team capable of being the 4th or 5th seed and advancing to the 2nd round.

    We trade: Bayless/Blake/Raef/Outlaw
We get: Andre Miller & Iguodala

    Philly out: Miller/Iggy
    Philly in: Amare/Blake

    Phoenix out: Amare
    Phoenix in: Raef/Bayless/Outlaw

this one is perfect. I want it, we have a small log jam and at the end of the season have to decide if we:

re-sign Miller and let either Webster or Batum go
go after a different PG and let either Webster or Batum go
move brandon to point and keep webster and batum (or go after different SF)

Philly opens up time for Thad Young (though they need help at the two and have a lot of 4's left) and saves some dough over the long run (amare expires sooner than Iggy) and Phoenix saves their boatload of money while getting some young talent back.

    We could look like this:

    Miller/Sergio
    Roy/Rudy
    Iggy/Batum
    Aldridge/Frye
    Oden/Pryzbilla

    next year
    Roy/Sergio
    Webster/Rudy or (Rudy/Batum)
    Iggy/Batum or (Iggy/Webster)
    Aldridge/Freeland
    Oden/Pryzbilla

Our first unit could play big, defensive, mean slow-paced basketball and then our bench could come in and open it up. I'd love that balance and complimentary tension between our two units. And our defense (in the first unit at least) would be off the charts. Sure little guys would get by us sometimes (though Iggy can guard little guys well), but they'd have a lot of size awaiting them and we could post up anyone (at almost any position).

The answer is "no one." Philly is gathering momentum and will probably be back in the playoffs if they stand pat, so there would be little incentive to try and swap out floor generals with only 30 or so games left in the season -- too hard to integrate that position especially on a shortened time-line.

Agreed. I don't see why the 76ers would be eager to move him, either. But primarily because they're in the middle of a playoff race, not because they're going to be rebuilding and/or looking to save money.

Let me know what you think... Orlando gets ride of Peitrus who is repetitive with Lee emerging and the Magic intent on resigning Hedo. They Get a PG in Blake to play out the year for them since they are missing Nelson and they get a Plethora of depth for the playoffs since their greatest complaint is a weak bench. Philly rounds out its team for the future while opening up Cap space. They get Sergio for the future PG and Petri as a wild card. They also recieve Frye to help down low and outside shooting from Reddick and Cook, and they get Raef.

Portland does this because they get to condense tallent without giving up that much. Throw in a few draft pick if Orlando or Philly complains
