this is getting old real quickly. Sonics fans while hurt, are completely delusional.

THEY voted NO on a new stadium or improvements.
DAVID STERN allowed Clay Bennett to buy the Sonics, when everyone knew he was wanting to put a team in OKC.
29 other owners approved Bennett's purchase and later on approved the move to OKC.

    give it up.

Um, ^ is a bit more delusional than Sonics fans.

As a resident of WA and King County, I never had a chance to vote for the Sonics' new stadium.

Shouldn't they be booing Howard Schultz instead?

Eh, depending on the reporter, Schultz specifically had a clause that they couldn't buy the team if they were planning to move. That's why he didn't take 50M more from the San Jose group. But you're right, he's not blameless.

Unfortunately, Seattle's horrible mayor decided to settle out of court before the judge's decision came down. :dunno: So you don't get the truth.

As a Blazer fan, born and bred to hate the Sonics, I've got to say the fans were screwed over. Howard S., local politicians (Frank Chopp's a weenie and Gregoire's all hat an no horse), the NBA . . . all are to blame to varying extents.

True story, the fans never got the vote. Might've gone down, but the people should've had the opportunity to vote. A bad time in the economy for it, but if the politicians put in place a stadium plan, Clay and his people are going to owe some crazy amount of money. I think they just have to have a funding plan -- stadium does not have to be built and it's like another $30MM or so (if I remember right) out of Clays pocket.

Just say video pregame of a youngish dad and toddler, both in Sonics jerseys, and the toddler holding a sign saying "Bennett ruined my childhood"

I was a few seats over from these two. I was in the middle of a bunch of Sonics fans about 10 rows behind the Thunder bench. A few just seemed rather drunk and obnoxious, but if the situation was reversed and I was up in Seattle cheering for the relocated Blazers team, I'd probably be drunk too.

Didn't see any Bennett signs. Forgot for most of the night that the team I was watching played in Seattle last season. :dunno:

There were some printed out 8"x11" sings that said "Clay Bennet can kiss my X" and the x was the sonics logo.

Wow, that kid has a future in the business. What a perfect look for that poster.

Wonder what his dad did to him to make him look like that.
