PG - Smush Parker SG - Devean George SF - Lamar Odom PF - Brian Cook C - Chris Mihm PG - Sasha Vujacic PG - Aaron McKie SG - Devin Green SF - Luke Walton PF - Kwame Brown PF - Ronny Turiaf C - Andrew Bynum Is this not the most amazing feat in the NBA to keep this team over .500? If you take away any teams best player, this has to be one of the, if not the worst in the NBA.

Are you acknowledging Kobe's greatness BCB?But yea, that's a bad team except Odom. Mihm has his moments, Cook really went away from what I envisioned of his NBA career(what's with all these long jumpers?), and Mckie/Turiaf are non factors because they haven't played enough.

I know you're being sarcastic but that team would be worse than the New york knicks.

    1. Cheated on his wife and cried like a baby to the media. 2. Gave her a big ring and the dumb bimbo stayed with him. 3. He got the most gay tattoo in the history of man kind. 4. He always says the right things to the media, read his recent sickening SLAM interview. 5. Gave himself a nickname, and a really dumb one at that. 6. Thinks he's above teammates, never gave them the time of day until his image needed makeover. 7. He's joined olympics, did on camera Katrina work to pump his image. 8. Kisses media <Censored> since his <Censored> raping incident. 9. After he got busted he tried to get Shaq in trouble with comments.10. He refences god now which is kind of sad.

I'm not going to even argue with you because i know you're just a bling hater. However kobe was going to play in the 2004 olympics but the rape trial forbade him o do so.2- He didn't give himself a nickname, i don;t thinkAnd read the last season. I haven't but if you read it somewhere in the book Phil jackson said he never gave Kobe a chance. Kobe was never the social guy people wanted him too be, it's not like it happened when he's cockiness went higher.

He did beat Dallas by himself, came back down 22 to destroy the Raptors with 81 points...and his teammates have been lifeless and inconsistent all season.7) He wanted to play in the 2004 Olympics, but had to bail because of trial dates...and Kobe has been doing a great deal of charity work since 2001, but it's actually the league who wants to re-aquire his good image by going public with it.8) Actually, he was quiet all of last season, and actually bit at the media a day before MLK Jr. Day when asked about Shaq.9) It was never an official statement in the first place, and even if it was true, Shaq did slam him into the lockers and hit him when he was a minor...which is illegal. Eye for an eye.10) He did this back in 2003 also, I actually posted the quote on a Lakers message board, the night he hit the game-winner in Denver last season.People hate Kobe for the same reason they hate the Lakers. It all dates back to the three-peat. If I were a non-Laker fan, I'd hate them also. The same thing happened with the Bulls during their three-peats; I've never seen anyone hate Jordan more than these two guys I met in Houston last year, and it was pure hate because they wanted Houston to win a third title in the 90's.

I used to go game previews for them, every single game, and I still do season previews. I've had a couple of guys ask me to write and cover LA sports for them in the past, but I was going to college at the time and had a girlfriend that I couldn't leave, so I declined.I was wanting to become a sports journalist, but things took a different direction (long story) and now I spend all my free time on my own board and on Clublakers...and when you have 29 other team fanbases on a board you have to run each day, you get used to defending the Lakers...but also doing it without insulting anyone.

I agree with most of what you said Real Deal except the reasoning behind why it's ok for Kobe to give himself a nickname. Nicknames are supposed to be made by other people, not yourself. And the why he shouldn't care or acknowledge his teammates. This is a team game, not one person. What's the point of being on a team then? Kobe can't beat teams by himself through a whole season, so no point in pointing out the 2 instances he did. He needs his teammates if he's gonna accomplish anything close in winning a championship.Other then that, BCB I hope you realize people kiss asses everyday, so what if Kobe does it.

Kobe just wants his endorsements back so he acts like he gives a damn...just another reason for me to hate him.

You'll find out that every single Laker fan loves it when Kobe ignores his teammates these days. Take for instance the Spurs game last night. In the third, Finley and Parker destroyed Odom and Smush...and Cook couldn't handle Tim Duncan. At all. Kobe was scoring left and right, and held Bowen to nothing. If he would've switched, Bowen would score much like he did the last meeting. In the fourth, the Lakers outscored the Spurs by double-digits, being down by around 17 and coming back to lose by only seven. Kobe hit five consecutive shots, three straight from downtown, and ignored his teammates.Same story every game. When you watch the Lakers, you start to wonder why Kobe even plays for this team...and that's pretty sad.

Sorry, I can't hear any of you, I only hear the slurping of Laker's fans riding Kobes <Edit>Seriously, this has to stop. Many teams are terrible without their superstars. What would Celtics be without Pierce? Rockets are 1-16 when T-Mac doesn't play/finish games. Cavs are god awful without Bron. Phoenix would be under .500 without Nash. Kobe is an amazing player and is doing something totally amazing this season, but I am sick of hearing how Kobe is the next Jesus Christ and how he works miracles when other players are literally carrying other teams too.
