Remember the debate over who the Bucks should have picked last year? You had the Bucks fans rooting for the picking of Andrew Bogut, a soild 7-footer and you had the other half rooting for the picking of Marvin Williams. I remember these debates like it was yesterday I lived through them daily with friends of mine and I faught the Marvin people like a gladiator. Ever since the season started it's funny how all the Bogut doubters have vanished. I know Marvin is in Atlanta fighting for minutes amoung the 10 SF's there but it's like the guy doesn't exist anymore. Look at all the top picks...Bogut, Paul, Deron, Felton...it's like Marvin Williams has fallen off the planet. And in my opinion it's because of one reason. He's a 6'8" SF with a lot of athletism. Their in every draft. If we picked Marvin we wouldn't have a 7'1" 255 pound center to build around who plays the game the right way. I'm glad we did the right thing and i'm glad the Marvin supports over the summer got the messege.

Isn't Marvin long term though, and no one said he would come out this year and put up numbers. I heard that Bogut would have a better career short term, and Marvin would have it long term. Also, Bucks really had no choice but Bogut, Marvin wasn't a fit at the time, neither was the pgs.

I also still think Marvin will be better, I'd like to see them deal him this summer. Bogut wasnt a bad choice either, espically with how rare great C's are but I doubt he'll be the superstar to build around in the future like Marvin could develop into, look at Kobe,Tmac, and JOs slow starts.

Who do you think they would've picked had they already done the Mason for Magloire trade?

Its pretty obvious you havent followed Marvin..He is gaining SO MUCH more confidence now, every month he gets better, and gets to know the offense more. In the long run Marvin will be much better..He can get rebounds whenever he wants, hes got a nice shot, and he can play inside/outside..

Most of the people calling Bogut a bust think he sucks because he's white, they forget he's Croation, forget he's not a part of the offense and gets 7 shots a game, they forget he's 21 years old.

I think it will work out for the Bucks. Everyone knows that a good center is better then a good SF. Bogut will be a solid rebounder and passer for a big man. He also looks fluid on the court and can drop in that short jumper. He is also great at getting to the rim. The Bucks got a guy who will be a solid Center in the League, which is very rare so I don't see how people can call Bogut a bust.
