    It was the MN game:

    0:37 Ben Gordon misses 19-foot jumper 108-109.

Probably should have looked that up in the first place.

I'd take Kobe because then I'd be in the position to have a team taking more game winnning shots. That is, we'd be winning more games.

Ben Gordon with the 4 point game winning shot tonight. Second four pointer of the season. The other one brought the Clippers game into overtime, which we ended up pulling off. This one was to win the game.

    The guy's not clutch?

Nope, he's definitely clutch, and ought to be out there in clutch situations. The Bulls need to buck the convention of always running a play for someone and just run their offense. I don't always want the Ball in Ben's hands at the end and I don't always want Rose taking the shot. I'd love to see Rose working on that little curl play Kirk and Ben run so well, but I'd also think Rose would get better opps in his shots if people think there's a real chance he might pass it.

It's one area where I think the coaching conventional wisdom is generally screwy. It might be a sensible fit for some teams, but a lot of teams would be better off simply running their offense at the end instead of forcing <insert your best clutch player here> to do his best MJ impersonation.

Yeah, I agree. But the ball should always start in Rose's hands. Nice to see BG hit the shot this time. Even he mentioned it has been quite a while since he has hit one. But if Rose can find him, or maybe a cutting Tyrus when the big man steps up at the rim, I don't see how you stop it.

If the Miami game isn't close, we may never have the chance to try that whole Thomas cutting to the rim thing!

If BG spends any time guarding Wade, the best we can hope for is close.

You have to wonder if the Ben Gordon four point play is going to become a staple. He almost had another one tonight. If it was an inch higher, it would have went in.

Other teams just panic so much and play Gordon so tightly in the clutch. They don't want to give him any space whatsoever, which leads them to foul him.

The best part of it was that they ran a play. I am fine with with BG taking shots as long as it isn't some sort of iso/clearout. If they get him some space he can hit a shot or get fouled, but he is an absolute failure trying to create his own shot at the end of games.

And it was close, wasn't it... :ghoti:
