He works so hard in the off season and his numbers back that up. How good could be really get?
The sky is the limit. A lot of people dont want to hear that since hes in the draft class of Lebron. The most amazing part is that hes shooting 49.6% from the field as a SG this year!He has made quantum leaps this year to learn how to be effective without the ball. That is why there is a flurry of alley oops to him this year.Obviously he still needs to extend his range to 3 point land. And needs some major work on the defense, thanks to the dumb hand check rules. He is one of those players that will thrive in the big spotlight. I hope to see him in the finals. Not only because im a fan of his, but to see how he grabs the moment and what he does with it, will be interesting.
dwyane wade has potential to average over 30ppg. he'll be one of the elite players as he already is but he definitely has not reached his potential. his outside shot is weak especially three point range. he's smart enough to not attempt too many because he knows he doesn't have that range yet. i think shaq and him can get a title.

Dwade really reminds me a lot of Big O, he can score, pass, and rebound. I doubt he'll ever be as good but it is possible, but their playing style is almost exact, whether he changes his game some I dont know since he's already become more of a sg then the pg he was drafted as 3 years ago, but Wade could be the next player to average a triple double for a season, even though I doubt it. Lebron James is another player like that but reminds me of a much more explosive magic johnson.
^And still turns the ball over way too much for being a SG.Let's see the jumper get better than we can talk about elite...
I'd say he already is elite, but not the best. His stats are also higher playing w/ Shaq, but i won't get into that. He's a very good player, and like someone said before, the sky is the limit.
If DWade can develop a consistent 3-point shot, the league better watch out. He is scoring over 27 points a game and I don't believe he has hit 15 threes on the season.
Wade has a very good potential. You can really see his competetiveness during games. The guy wants to get better, and he wants to win. He is one of the L at just cutting to the hole and by the time the defense reacts it's already 2 points on the scoreboard. He's got a smooth jumper and he works hard on defense. The sky's the limit for someone with this much potential. If he can work on his long range jumper then he's pretty much set. Not selfish at all either. I think he will be more succesful interms of jewelry then Lebron.
I don't know if he will ever be a consistent long range shooter If he ever does than be afraid. He is probably the most athletic player in the nba.
I doubt he'll ever surpass LeBron, but Wade could very well be the best guard in the NBA when he hits his prime, no question about it.Then again, by that time, he'll have Chris Paul to contend with, and that won't be so easy.
I love the fact that he doesnt settle for long threes and instead has a terrific mid-range shooting game and is among the leagues best at attacking the basket and getting to the hole..
He utilizes his athleticism very well, but he better get an outside game or in another 5 or 6 years when his athleticism starts to really drop his game will completely go down the tube.
Yeah I would think that style Wade plays will wear him down if he can't rely on his jumper. Iverson though is still playing that way and being successful.

Kobe, MJ, Clyde etc. In their first couple of years they attack the basket and try to just dunk it over people, but after a while, they develop other parts of their game. My guess is the same will happen with Wade.
3 years.Give him 3 more years to improve his defense and improve outside range. If he can improve the enxt 3 years the way he did the past 3 years, he will be best player in NBA. He can score VERY efficiently, is clutch as almost anyone in NBA, is a great passer, great rebounder for a guard, and is constantly a threat for a triple double. All he needs to improve is his defense and outside shooting, and he will be set.

Wade's midrange is good, not great. What he needs to work on is his 3 point shooting then he'll truly be unguardable.edit: Wade's defense is fine, it would be nice if he could get better at it but he has better defense than others in his 03 draft class.
Fine isn't good enough, especially when we ar ein a topic saying how good can he be. If he can be a defender like Kobe is, or even remotely that kind of defender, and can improve his shooting range, he will be the ebst in the league.
