A bit off topic, but I think Dirk is better than people give him credit for though. That Pau vs Dirk discussion really interested me (Pau vs those other PFs too), I'm disappointed you guys stopped, lol.
if I had to build a team around one I'd choose Dirk for the simple fact I think he's accomplished more as a leader.............but for the lakers purpose I think I'd rather have Gasol, because he actually plays on the blocks...............u already know how I feel bout dirk so...................
Dirk may be a better leader, but he has never won anything. He got to the Finals and lead the biggest choke job.
Just as much as Dirk, nothing. However, he wasn't a part of the biggest choke job in the history of the NBA Finals, nor was his top seeded team victimized by the 8th seed.
both are soft punks....it really depends on what your team needs........if I had a dominant interior post presence I'd probably take Dirk......but if you have a soft front line Pau would be the better choice.........
I'm not saying Pau has won anything, I forgot to throw that in there. The point I was trying to make was that Dirk may be a better leader, but not by much. Pau has also never had the talent in Memphis that Dirk did in Dallas.
That is true, we will have to see how the Lakers do in the playoffs this year, although it still wouldn't be 100% the same because Kobe is your #1 player, with Pau at #2. Dirk always was his teams #1 player.
