I do think its funny how he gets called out on a part of his post and then tucks tail and runs.

Like the "Playoff teams beat GS" and then the 1st two replys make him look stupid as hell.

I don't think the playoff are iffy, but I think HCA is definitely a long shot without a move. Mike Rice also said the same thing on Courtside. He thinks we are the 8th seed w/o a trade.

People making these arguments that other teams get beat in Oracle are missing the point. There's a troubling trend of slow starts and bad defense that is getting worse not better. This loss wasn't an aberration, but a completely expected loss from watching our last few weeks of sub-par play.

They certainly could miss the playoffs. There is no doubt about that. It is the lack of logic and intellegence in this statement that gets old:

"Playoff teams beat GS. Playoff teams dont let OKC hang around for 3 qtrs at home. Playoff teams don't need last second shots to beat the knicks. Im sorry its the truth."

Seriously, how stupid is this comment?

Oh, and "Playoff teams don't let guys like Mo Williams beat you"

Mixum let us know if you are like 12 years old or have a learning disability, because then I am going to feel really bad. But adult followers of the NBA should not be making such ridiculous statements. If we demand more from our team, why can't we demand more from our fans.

You are not giving GS any credit with having Monta Ellis back. They can and will beat anyone on their home court.

Yes the loss was expected. Yes we need our starting PG back, and yes we need to play better D. (Although Nate's game plan was better than anyone else has been doing lately against them) But i think the trend of slow starts can be directly linked to when Blake went down.

It's made things worse for sure (especially defensively), but its a trend that was going on even with him as a starter.

We can't get away with starting Batum anymore. Trade Outlaw in a package for a legit starting SF and let Batum come off the bench.

43 free throws to our 17.
30 something fouls to our 18.

    Talk about one sided bullshit.

I think we can make that trade without including Outlaw. Keep TO as the back up PF. I think he would be sorely missed. He is a good utility guy to have on your bench and his teammates love him. I am not saying he is awesome, just that it would be a mistake to trade him for various reasons.

Batum isnt the problem. he plays excellent defense.

Trout comes in and replaces him and together with Rudy, their defense is atrocious.

I'd say Rudy's better than T-Law though at it.

Batum excels at defense, and we need him in there; there's no reason BRoy, LMA, and ODen cant score...

The big issue is our starting PG not driving, but standing around waiting for cutters, and then driving w/8 seconds to go, its like run out the clock possession every time...

We need Bayless to start, and/or Blake back

Another thing we need is some refreshed offensive sets...
everything is stand around and wait for Broy, or Stand around and wait for Sergio, or pass it low to LMA to juan on juan.....

He's an excellent defender in comparison to TO. He can stay in front of his man usually, but it's not like he's a Raja Bell or Bruce Bowen in terms of his impact on D. He's solid, but essentially lets the opposing team slack off him on the other end of the court since he's not a threat to score whatsoever.

hehe yeah, i mean, on OUR team he's one of the excellent defenders we have...

    Kinda sad eh? :)

I really miss Webs. He could keep his guy in front of him AND shoot.

I think you're letting your personal animus against MIXUM color your reaction to his post. After watching the last few games, how can anyone disagree with him? Batum is a total zero on offense. The guy can't make a basket unless you give him the ball under the hoop with no one around him. Sergio also continues to be a liability with his poor defense and his turnovers. Frye, as we know, is largely a waste, and so on.

I love the Blazers, but my God, where would this team be without Roy?? He pulls out the win on a regular basis with his fourth quarter performances. He is literally carrying this team on his back and trying to get us into the playoffs.

I know it's popular to bash MIXUM around here, but let's be honest. He's exactly right on this one.

C'mon, Eric. Everybody knows the Lakers have been much more consistent than the Blazers this year.

So MIXUM is a troller, and you're attacking him personally, which is forbidden by the site. Hmmmm. We really must do something about the moderators who don't enforce the rules . . .

"Used up?" I shudder to think what you might mean by that . . . :)

Actually, she's only been up for a week or so, which is nothing for someone of her amazing charms . . . I think I'll give her a little more time in the spotlight, but thanks for your concern.

"learn the game and then post" LMAO.... sorry i don't use statistics or things in the past to back up every argument i make. IM WATCHING NOW not yesterday. Heres what i know kingspeed, our SFs SUCK, our PGS are a joke wout Blake and our big men are as weak as trash talk episodes.

and as for that HUUUUUGE 3 game lead over the suns.... lets hope they trade some players cause if they don't.... there's gonna be lots of sad faces on here in mid april. we have a chance to get a top 6 seed but our GM is afraid to upgrade and clear out the crap on this roster. Simmons was !00% right when he said KP is in love with his players. Problem is... most are just average or below average. His ego is starting to kill him as a GM.

I have a solution. Why not just become a L*ker fan? Their GM shits gold bricks, nothing ever goes wrong for them and Kobe can always use a few more fans.

But instead I'm sure you'll just keep repeating yourself like a broken record over and over and over and over and over ...

I'm for that too - Outlaw & RLEC for a good SF. BUT . . . then you go back to the mess of Frey or Diogu at b/u PF. That's just bad. Travis isn't a lock down post defender himself, but at least he brings something on the offensive end (most nights) Frye and Diogu are just worthless on both ends.

We just aren't going to be able to address all of our needs right now. I do think that an elite SF like Caron Butler would do the most for this team. We still need a physical b/u PF. And we still need a clean up the PG position. I guess that will have to wait.
