He has not played much at all this year, you used him with a first round pick, do you think he's worth it and what do you think of him?
I like him as a defensive player. In his minutes he has been productive. i think a year in the NBDL however couldn't hurt him.
The NBDL isnt typically for first rounder most of the players were undrafted or late rounders. Just give him more time and he will become a solid player. Don't lower his confidence by putting him in the D-league.
