As far as his shooting goes, he is solidified as one of the greatest ever, even I consider him the clutchest player ever, but does he truly belong in the HOF? Not an amazing scorer, terrible playmaking, average rebounder, and one of the worst defenders i've ever seen. Add to it he played in the weakest eastern conference the NBA has ever seen in the late 90s-early 2000s, and never managed to win a ring, and only made the finals once, where his team was dominated. Some people consider him top 20 alltime, I can name 10 people in the NBA better then him right now, much less alltime.

I agree. He is lucky to crack my top 30 list.He was one dimensional. Shooting kept him in the league. He was a bad defender, and under average in every other aspect of the game.Alot of people brag about how good of a scorer he is but in reality hes not at all. He never averaged over 25 points per game in any season. He is a shooter not a scorer.

He put up huge career totals because he barely missed games, it's not a rip on him, i'm just saying.

The more games you play the harder it is to keep your averages.

The reason for this was his ability to consistantly put up 20ppg and hardly miss any games during his LONG career.

Reggies top 20 imo. Hes the greatest clutch player and shooter of all time.He dosent put up big numbers but he was a great player. He would put up big numbers on the score board if he took more then 15 shot attempts but hes a non sellfish player and hes a team player.Reggies one of the greats and will make the HOF i thinks its time for you annoying Reggie Haters to lay off.

Reggie miller is the definition of overrated. Decent offensive player [i'm being nice [IMG] ], his defense was horrible, couldn't rebound or be a good play maker. He did nothing but put up 20 points a game [he only averaged 20 in 6 out of his what, 18 seasons?].edit: Lol, if he was a team player you would expect him to put up more than 4 assits in a seasons?

No way he was, and he is definitely overrated. He never even averaged more than 24 PPG in a season.

Reggie Miller's game was built on shooting the ball. That is all he brought to the game. He is not an overated shooter but as a HOF yes he is. He needed to bring more with his game than just shooting.

He was an amazing shooter (especially in crunch time) and IMO belongs a spot in the hall because of his clutch-play.HOWEVER he does not belong to a top 30 list.

I wrote alot about this awhile ago. Basically a recap: Name something he did other than shoot off screens. Not just shoot, shoot off screens. The man averaged 20 PPG off shots off screen and a few created shots. Name anything he did besides shoot off screen and hit some created shots, and then compare him with 50 of the other NBA's bast. Most people say he's better than 35 of them. Overrated much?
