    The Trib talkes about a possible new role for Paxson in the organization.

    I wonder if it would be Final Four scout.

    I hope he is completely out of the basketball side of the organization. All we need is to keep him on the basketball side and then posters can say any bad move is on JR or Pax or GM X. That's all we need.

    McGraw thinks the reports are false (but I have never felt he had much in the way of sources)

    It's not that he doesn't have sources. Mike McGraw just does journalism how it's supposed to be done. That is with truth and verification. Most sports journalists don't operate this way.

    Yeah, I tend to find McGraw pretty reliable, especially compared to KC who's become kind of an asshat.

    Still, I also figure he's got little downside to going out on the limb he's going out on now.

    Paxson's made this mess of a team, the buck stops where it should stop.

    Speaking of bucks, we're paying $20M+ for two guys who aren't even playing on the court this season, and it's not the first time we've spent a good chunk of the salary budget on zilch. Tim Thomas ring a bell? PJ Brown, Wallace, Antonio Davis, JYD, and even Pip are the earmarks of trading expiring deals for next year's expiring deals and leaving the team hamstrung on the court and cap space wasted.

    I'm with Johnstone on this one - 2 winning seasons out of 6 isn't a stellar record.
