LJ also talked for a while about how great Rudy played in the gold medal game and about how his big dunk on Dwight came when the game was getting tight down the stretch.

To me he seemed to get distracted from talking about Rudy and other story lines by whatever was happening in the game... which is fine.

Man... anyone else notice how the game went in the tank when Rudy and Gasol went out? The Rooks were leading by 10, Mayo goes in, the Rooks lose.

Just a joke for those people that think a fetus and a human are the same thing. Some people just choose not to see humor. :dunno:

My favorite part of the second half of the game was near the end when Beasley was wide open for a three and Mayo took a contested two instead despite Beasley waving at him and going "I'M OPEN I'M OPEN!"

Mayo seems like a more fluid/smooth version of Ricky Davis.

Karl Malone's Elbows is starting to sound a lot like BenDavis503. Is he a PUA too?

Not only was it an exhibition game, there was NO defense being played, and he was easily the best player on the court.
He is a freaking beast, no doubt. KP knew he was an assassin. He is not a Jordan or Kobe though. He is more like Tracy in Orlando. Great scorer, sometimes impossible to stop. He will win some scoring titles, but I don't think he has the intangibles that separate him from the truly great players.
Can we PLEASE PRETTY FREAKING PLEASE give Greg at least 1 year to see where he is at? He just came off MF surgery and everyone who has came back from it, says it takes over a year to gain confidence and ability back.
I have seen the flashes in Greg and I know he will only progress. Plus he will bring defense, which KD doesn't. We would be the Suns with KD or the RUN YMC Warriors..fun as hell to watch, but doesn't pan out come crunch time when defensive teams like the Pistons and Spurs of past roll around.
Say this aloud and proud..DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!
Pus, I'lll take Greg's playoff experience he is sure to get this year over Durant scoring a crapton of points on a very bad team.

No, Love was not invited. Minny is supposedly pretty pissed, and for good reason.

They should be mad about it. I found it telling when Kenny Smith said that all of the rookie/soph guys were staying for the game on Sunday to try and soak up the experience. Um, you forgot one that is on a plane to Indiana right now, Kenny.

You know Roy didn't stay for the all-star game in his rookie season.

I'm not saying it's bad by Oden, but he was quoted in today's paper saying he'd be going home for a few days. Roy didn't have nearly the hype of Oden, either.

On second thought, considering what Greg's accomplished so far in his career, I'd want to get the hell out of town as well. I don't mean this as a negative.

To be fair, Durant is only like 20 years old as well. Pretty impressive for his age, I think.

What does that mean? You even call him an assassin and a beast, what more is he supposed to be?

Honestly, maybe Oden will turn into a great player, but mentally I think Durant has the clear edge. I remember people raising the issue pre-draft, where Oden seemed to lack the same fire that KD has, and it still remains a concern.

Yeah, that 10 to 15 minutes he plays a game can really wear a guy out . . .
