They have both played two games so far with the Patriots, which the NBDL's worst team is 2-0 since Amir and Acker have been sent down.First game was against the the Roanoke Dazzle on March 3. Amir played 18 min and finished with 16 pts (5-12 FG, 6-8 FT), 8 boards, 1 ast, 2 stls, 1 blkAcker played 21 minutes and finished with 28 pts (8-13 FG, 10-10 FT), 3 boards, 1 Ast, 2 stls, 1 blk<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>?I figured it was a 50/50 chance that I would get to play a little,? said Acker, who flew into Fayetteville on Friday after being assigned there by the Pistons on Thursday. ?I wasn?t even sure they would have a jersey ready. But as soon as I got here, coach said ?Are you ready to play?? Then he showed me my jersey. I never thought I would get in the game that early, though.?The Patriots led by as many as nine in the fourth, but Roanoke charged back and reclaimed the lead on the hot hand of league scoring leader Will Bynum, who hit two 3-pointers and seven free throws in a five-minute span. Then, Acker and his Pistons teammate Amir Johnson who was assigned to Fayetteville on Monday, dominated the final three minutes. Acker scored five, and Johnson hit five free throws to go along with a pair of steals, to shut down the Roanoke run.?I had the chance to work with Amir a little, and he picks things up quickly,? Brown said. ?And Alex just got here two hours before the game, we went over some plays in my office, and then we threw him to the sharks. But these guys have played this game since they were little kids. They should know what to do.?</div>Sun 5 @ Florida 5:00pm (113-93 W)Alex: 16 min, 14 pts (6-9 FG, 2-3 3FG), 5 boards, 5 AstAmir: 19 min, 16 pts (6-7 FG, 4-4 FT), 9 boards, 2 ast, 2 blk<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Patriots took control of the game in the third quarter as Amir Johnson and Alex Acker, both on assignment from the Detroit Pistons, tallied 10 points combined in a 17-7 run over the final 5:44 of the period to grab a commanding 84-69 lead heading into the fourth.</div>march 5-game recapThey both are doing great in the NBDL, they seem to be helping the Patriots win games in the later quarters. Their next games are all against the Florida Flame on March 7,9 and 11

I like this idea Rip. If you could post updates on them every once in a while that would be awesome. I am happy to see their success in the minors. Hopefully this will transend into success in the pros.

i think the pistons website has a link where you can follow the 2 by yourself. From what ive been looking at and hearing from people watching them is that they are doing fine other thank Acker has a 3 to 2 assist to turnover ratio.

^The main thing though is they are playing putting up good numbers and helping the Patriots WIN. Since the patriots are the worst team in the NBDL. I think that the NBDL is a great idea for the NBA because the rookies get a chance to play.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C., March 17 -- Detroit Pistons rookies Amir Johnson and Alex Acker continued their run of strong D-League performances, and center Rick Rickert continued to provide a solid inside presence, as the threesome each scored over 20 points and accounted for all of a late 10-0 spurt that pushed the Patriots from a two-point deficit to a 120-110 win over the Tulsa 66ers....The teams stayed close the rest of the way until the 2:43 mark of the fourth when Acker took over. With the score tied at 104-104, he hit a short jumper, then stole the ball and fed Rickert for back-to-back layups. He then set Johnson up with an alley-oop slam and followed with a pair of free throws that made the score 114-104.
