Phoenix? Cleveland? Memphis? I hate to say this, but ever since the trade rumors have started, I have had a feeling he would end up in Cleveland. LeBron, Mo Williams, and Amare is almost as scary as Kobe, Pau, and Bynum.
You're scared of Amare? Why? Amare doesn't play defense, Pau and Bynum would dominate the paint if that happens. He is all flash, nothing else. One of the most overrated players in the league.
Because it would make it harder for the Lakers to lock down LeBron in a 7 game series. We've shut him down twice this year, but with Amare there, it would be a hell of a lot tougher.
I'll go out on a limb and say Toronto. Right now, I think BC is looking for changes, despite him telling everyone he is happy with this team. As much as I like Bosh, I wouldn't mine giving him up for Amare. Amare is on a-whole-nutta-level and with Bargnani coming in to his own, this could make some sense. If we can also pick up a draft pick and maybe even throw Kapono and Jose for Nash; it would be even better.
If you ask Amare, do you think he would want to go to Memphis. I know he's not Kobe and his opinion on where he lands is not up to him, but as a Memphis fan, do you think he'd stay? I don't think he would. I'd think he'd stay in Toronto if we have Bargnani and Marion, which we do. Plus, if Nash goes with him, he'll stay with a grat PG.
Amare is the most overrated player in the league. He doesn't know defense, doesn't know rebounding. Bosh, from what I've heard (haven't seen much of him) has an awesome perimeter game and is money on defense. Amare's only real strength that he has over other PF's/C's is his ability to finish at the rim.
With the young players that Memphis has, they have so much room to grow and improve. They've got a pool of talent, they just need to mature now.
Hiesley said he isn't accepting any deals for Amare until Amare guarantees he will resign with Memphis in 2010.
Bosh does have a nice perimeter game, and his defense CAN be money, but he shoots way to much. However, I'd like to see how he plays with a good SF. I'm just saying, Bosh for Amare/Nash, I would do.
I'd consider this for both teams: http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=5008531 Suns: Unload Amare, get two expiring contracts (Smith, Wilcox), Jeff Green, and two first rounders. One pain in the ass out of your hair, you got a young guy, salary relief, and two first round draft picks that Sarver will promptly sell. Thunder: Get a big man who will help you a great deal next season, and if that team performs up to its potential, you may just have a chance at re-signing him. Its also relatively low risk, considering A) Presti has been hoarding draft picks, B) Durant is probably better suited for SF anyway (assuming he gains some weight), and OKC has Kyle Weaver to play shooting guard, and C) Wilcox and Smith were gone at season's end one way or the other. The only real piece they're giving up is Green. 2009-2010 Thunder: PG Russell Westbrook SG Kyle Weaver SF Kevin Durant PF Nick Collison C Amare Stoudemire --- F/C Nenad Krstic G/F Damien Wilkins G whoever C Mouhammed Sene
^^ Good trade idea JE. I don't if the Thunder are ready to make that type of commitment though. Durant & Amare might be redundant talent as well and I'm not sure Amare would feel he's the "man" when the franchise player is Durant. From all accounts Amare appears to be some what of a prima-donna.
