    There are currently five fighters in the UFC Hall of Fame only:

    Ken Shamrock
    Royce Gracie
    Dan Severn
    Mark Coleman
    Randy Couture

    The UFC wants to induct one person into the Hall each year. Last year they added Coleman.

    Who else will get in?

    For the record, Dana White has stated that Abbott will definitely be in the HOF eventually. I just don't see it.

    I don't see Tito there. Dana will never allow it.

    Didn't Big John and Dana have some words for each other when Big John stopped reffing for a little while? I don't see that one, either.

    Maybe Tanner will get in this year.

    ^ Big John bailed out around the same time as Randy, and he did have some criticism for the UFC--but Dana White doesn't hold a grudge with everyone.

    Dana has said repeatedly that the door is wide open for McCarthy to come back to the UFC.

    Does the UFC get to choose who refs their events? I thought referees were appointed by the athletic commisions.

    Either way, back on topic, I think Evan Tanner will get either inducted into the HOF this year or at the very least honored in some way.

    I think they can choose to exclude someone if they want to, so long as their reasons are justified, but like you've said, they don't get to pick, as far as I know. But McCarthy can choose not to make himself available.

    Tanner has a decent chance of getting in.

    every single one of those guys should make it.

    Even if Dana hates Tito, he was a big part of the sport and the UFC.

    IMO Evan Tanner should make it this year, for more than just what he did in the octagon.

    What do you guys think about Rich Franklin's chances?

    He doesn't have wins over great opponents, outside of Tanner (twice), but he is a three-time UFC Middleweight Champion and one of the faces of the UFC during their rise in the mid-2000s.

    Based on accomplishments I'd say he's unlikely, but there is a strong UFC brass bias towards him that could last longer than his career.

    Dana likes him and he was considered the best 185 in the UFC for a while until Anderson Silva arrived. He still has only lost to Silva at 185 and has 24 wins vs 5 losses (11-3 UFC)

    He has lost to Silva x2 and Henderson in the UFC. Outside of those 3 losses, I believe his only other loss is to Machida? He is a good fighter and was considered the best MW in the UFC until Silva came. I think he deserves to be in.

    seriously.. just how bad has the UFC's HW division been?

    Maybe Arlovski, but only if he eventually returns to the UFC.. and if he has any success at boxing, that ain't happening.

    I think Lesnar has the physical tools to allow him to dominate the HW division for a while. If he can do that he'll probably make it to the HOF.
