where are u getting this number from? you also have to take into account the amount of wins the teams in front of us get. Currently we are 5.5 games behind the Bucks who occupy the 8 spot.

It was projected on TV, if all the teams where to continue how they are, thats what raps have to do. It was analysis shit on The Score (tv channel)

Give it up, we're not making it. The effort put forth by this team night in night out is disgusting.

But if they did, do you all think they could beat the Cavs, Celtics and Magic?

I'm at a weird spot, I want to lose to get a good pick, but also I want to win cause I would like Marion to stick around next year (obviously at a reasonable price)

Anything is possible, if they make it then they mathimatically have a chance. Remember how GSW beat Mavs? anything is possible.

Im with you man, marion if he can play like how he played today would be a huge help!

The Warriors were a far better team than us all around. And anything is possible, but the Raptors aren't exactly the poster child for impossible things to become possible.

We needed to suck the year we made all the changes, and we could desperately use a high lottery pick now. Like always, I'm cheering and hoping for wins while deep down hoping we get a sweet lottery pick (even if only to trade it, which would likely happen). Neither will make me completely happy, but either way I'm cool.

If the plan is to do everything to keep Bosh in 2010, I think the ideal scenario would involve the Raptors making a mini-run towards the end of the season but failing and getting a fairly decent lottery pick. We absolutely need the draft pick this season. Giving it up to Miami would be a killer, because we won't have the chance to add that much talent one we re-sign Marion (or bring in similarly priced player).

From what I remember, the draft pick is off limits this year regardless where we fall. Think the protection and potential loss of our pick starts 2010. Could be wrong though.

Yes, the pick starts in 2010. And it lottery protected til 2014 or 2015. However, if we make the playoffs next year, they get our second.

How are you counting this down? If the team above us wins the same amount of games as us for the rest of the year, we don't gain any ground. At your current rate, you are saying that the Raptors will make the playoffs if they attain 38 wins?

In the last few yrs the least amount of games a team won to make the playoffs was 38 wins, and with the rate the bucks are going they will get to 38 wins. Therefore the raps must get 38 wins (with the tie breaker) to get into the playoffs.

PLEASE NOTE: i did not come up with this number i got it from watchin an interview on TV with Jay Triano and analysis from THE SCORE
