Artest and Scola to Utah for Boozer. Both teams get better IMO. Artest would only last a few months in SLC but thats all they would need him for. Just another Internet rumor, but it does worry me a little.
Tis the season. I'm guessing we're going to hear about 1 rumor for every 100 that has any merit whatsoever between now and Thursday. I can't imagine Artest under Jerry Sloan, talk about a match made in hell.
I saw that Houston was offering that for Amare. Makes sense that they'd offer it for other bigs as well.
Local radio. They were just repeating something they read on the internet. No credible source. But it make a lot of sense since the Jazz (and their fans) are tired of Boozer's act.
Like I said it would work for about three months because of Artest's head, but not his game. He plays D like Slaon did.
Artest would be interesting to see in Utah. he's a chucker, though, so i wonder how he'd do in Utah's system. Scola and Millsap couldn't play together. Boozer + McGrady + Yao = lol at DNP - injuries.
Actually, it would be a pretty interesting experiment since Scola is a Sloan type of guy. Artest is the expiring that let's Utah extend Millsap, but this deal helps Houston too much IMO. Artest playing PF in Utah's system could be great if you think about it
Why the hell would Houston trade for Boozer when he has a chance of bolting at the end of the season anyways? They would be giving up Scola for a chance at nothing. Boozer is a horrible defensive player, how does this make Houston that much better?
Yeah, seems to me that Utah could get more for Boozer.... or maybe not, with so many talented bigs supposedly on the market.
I don't think Boozer will get that many offers and may not opt out if he is in Houston. I doubt Miami wants him. I also think his 10-12 foot mid range shot is a perfect compliment to Yao. He prefers to play out there. (plus he is a decent passer) Artest, Kirilenko, Williams, Okur and Brewer (With Milsap back to the bench to give them energy) would be an improvement IMO.
utah would win in that trade imo.....Scola is a solid 4 who plays hard on both ends and is an underrated scrappy defender.......also the Jazz would finally get that perimeter defensive stopper that they've needed for some time now.............they would be an extremely physical team if this trade went down.........which I hope it doesn't considering the level of hatred I have for the Jizz..............
Utah has too good PF's in Boozer and Milsap. Houston has some redundancy with Battier and Artest. When healthy: D.Williams/Brewer/Artest/Milsap/Okur WITH AK-47 Alston/McGrady/Battier/Boozer/Yao Both of those teams are really good. They're good teams now but have had injuries, but I do think it helps each team as far as what they are trying to do. Damn. That could really work.
Artest play on the court is the epitome of what Sloan preaches. His boneheaded past is the exact opposite of the SLC community preaches. Artest seems to have matured in the past couple years, at least as far as staying out of the headlines and keeping his cool. Scola is a perfect fit in Sloan's system as well, a tough guy on the low block who can offensive rebound and scrap it out. I could see it working out great for Utah, on Houstons half though its just another injury ridden star player to add to their others. I'm just not sure Larry Miller's senile enough yet to allow this to happen.
