Because it was the Kobe/Shaq reunion, and the NBA wanted to get as much out of as they could. If they'd have lost, it would have gone to LeBron. That's just the way the NBA is.
What the hell?!? IF you get 14 assists 7 rebounds and 3 steals...and considering his 14 points wasn't that far off from anyone else's total (other than 27 by Kobe)....his all around game deserved it! 14 assists and 7 rebounds for a 6 foot PG?!? Come on!!!
