Decent analysis from DraftExpress. http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Rookie-Retrospective-Greg-Oden-3110/
Pretty fair appraisal. Essentially, if he recovers 100% from the microfracture surgery and learns to play aggressively without fouling, I have no doubts that he'll be a star center,
That was pretty much spot on. In some ways the knee limiting his normal freakish athleticism for awhile might not be all bad; it forces him to develop solid technique and fundamentals that will serve him well when his body and explosiveness finally catches up to its pre-surgery levels.
How long are you gonna use the "recovery from the microfiber surgery" card? Are you still gonna use it in 3 years when oden is still just a 15/10 guy, and not the "one in a life time center"?
Microfiber's are nice, but I'm still pretty much a traditional gore-tex guy, though I do admit to loving my micro-fiber anorak when I ski.
Typically we'll use it for as long as "microfracture surgery" takes to recover from: 12 months. That should be sufficient time for Oden to use that excuse. I sense that you aren't a patient person.
