the Warriors were much worse character wise then the Blazers during the same era. They had the mentioned JRich spousal abuse, Spree choking PJ, team captain Mookie skipping practice to go golfing, Cocaine distribution (Chris Porter)... and remember when Chris Mills gathered up his gangster buddies following a game with the Blazers, held their bus hostage challenging the whole team to fight? pot possession and Tech's don't measure up to violent acts. But the W's sucked through that whole era so no one noticed. STOMP
I think the G-force alone was holding him in, so good point. Do you know how small a three year old is? A seat belt would not do the job.
Not to make too much light of this event, but I can remember a couple times pushing the speed limit when my three-year-old was telling me how bad they had to go to the bathroom while sitting in my car. I'm not sure what JRich's motivation was.
My friend did that once. We were wrestling and I had him in a headlock, spun him around and put his head through the wall... I blame it on slippage, though.
Unless that kid is a physical freak (tall and big) - the real problem with having a 3 y/o restrained by a normal seat-belt is that it would come over his shoulder where his neck is - so would actually cause more problem than help in case of an accident - even if the kid is willing to stay sitted and not restrained. Stupid move, for sure.
Heres a little more on the pullover. http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/nbaer-90-mph-in-35-zone-with-beltless-3-year-old-22369
Poor Phoenix. Poor child of Richardson. Does this make it more or less likely that Phoenix will deal Stoudemire? Phoenix's season is now spiraling the drain even faster.
Sad that Terry Porter, a decent person if there ever was one, and probably not a bad coach, takes the fall for this dysfunctional team. I feel for TP, Steve Nash, and other good people on the team.
