The Suns now are officially on the road to ruin. If they make the playoffs this season it will be for the last time in a long, long while. And in Phoenix they’ll remember Steve Kerr’s disastrous moves a lot longer than anything Terry Porter did or didn’t do. From dwight jaynes. ive read all day the suns arent dealing amare which means they will give it a shot at playoffs so we better be ready. I would think a trade for a SF would solidfy us in the top 7 BUT the suns are still loaded and could back strong. Infact they get the clips back to back to start post allstar week. Thats 2 wins alone. Anyhow, we are not even close to being out of the woods and given teh way we have played, odens health is iffy, and how our sf averages under 5 points a game.... the blazers might wanna hold off on playoff tics. Im telling ya... if the suns dont make deals.... we better make an impact trade. Whats worse is, the warriors next year will be a top 9 team and again... we have no gurantee of playoffs (thats assuming the suns destroy their roster.) It kind of reminds me of us in 2003-2004. Enough talent to make the playoffs BUT we fell short by a few games which could be the way the suns run ends. Really interesting last 30 or so games for that franchise and us. But nobody in here is gonna convinc eme dallas houston and utah dont get in. Which means SUNS OR BLAZERS. Which roster would you rather have for 30 games....not the future? SUNS
its the truth dude.... nobody wants to hear it but it is. if KP doesnt make a impact trade... it might be refunds to a lot of season tic holders
so im wrong???? Listen...the way i see it (my opinion) The Suns franchise either crumbles in the last 30 games or the BLazers playoff hopes crumble which could send major changes to BOTH franchises this summer. Should the Blazers make the playoffs... our franchise changes for the better (the time when we turned the corner officially.) For the Suns, like ours in 2003 it could be the end. One will happen and 1 wont. Its really that simple.
i meant if we miss the playoffs.... all the tics sold will be refunded (PLAYOFF TICS DUDE ARE ALREADY ON SALE)
You are right it is simple. But whether we make the playoffs this year or not, does assure whether we do next year or the year after or the next 5. You never know for sure. Injuries, trades, drafts, free agency effect all the teams. The only thing that is certain is next year you will be right back at it again with your extreme chicken little/sky is falling posts. And I have no problem with that. But really a trade right now does not guarantee anything for the future. It could make us better this year and worse in the future. You just never know. So even though i know that it is impossible for you to enjoy the moment, try anyway. This team is kind of fun to follow. edit: LOL ABM I did not see your post above before i wrote this.
it was fun..... before teams figured us out.... watching us get behind 15 points every game is tired. im so sick of batum and sergios game i cant tell you im so sick of outlaws defense so sorry im not having fun.....watching over hyped players who arent nba quality
Well, judging by the first 52 games, I'd rather have the Blazers roster - that's fairly empirical data, no?
So signing RJ will make it fun? Miller? maybe but doubtful. Butler would be great, but the others are far from a sure thing.
upgrading talent and winning is fun. without oden (assuming hes out) this team is the same team who collasped last year. that wasnt fun. i think we all know what sergio and outlaw are worth. upgrade is needed. its time. i saw that movie last year. how bout a new version in 09?
"assuming he is out" LOL. That sums it all up Mixum. You assume the worst. I am guessing here, but you seem to be the type of guy who always prepares for the worst so your disappointment is less. Lot of people like that. Anyway I agree winning is more fun. But winning for a long time is even more fun.
Honestly I see the Rockets crumbling around their broken down wing and a worn out center; it's just as likely Houston misses the big dance as Phoenix makes it, and that still leaves us in a good position. Try to think beyond simple black and white binary outcomes.
