That's what i was wondering. Maybe they're referring to the ESPN article which suggested Batum, RLEC and Sergio for Wallace and Mohammed. I looked at a bobcats forum this afternoon and from what i understand a lot of fans are reluctant to do that deal with Batum. One suggested trade proposal had us including Rudy in a deal for Wallace, which i would have to consider. Honestly, I don't think we can get Wallace for as cheap as the ESPN article indicates. It will probably cost us Travis and Martell.
pritchard is scared to trade away his shitty middle of the road players while everyone else is making deals or getting close.
Key word being "weeks," BM! EDIT: Oh, yeah... and by the way, did you guys know that the clock stops when a foul is called?
No I didn't edit it. And it had something to do with Gavin Dawson and Chad jumping the gun and saying that Sergio had been traded (or something like that) ... I remember Jason Quick kind of reprimanding them for shoddy reporting in his next quickchat.
[Deleted.] Okay, what I should have said is that perhaps there's a reason that KP hasn't pulled the trigger on a trade other than being, "scared to trade away his shitty middle of the road players while everyone else is making deals" Perhaps he's actually considering multiple offers and waiting for the best deal. Perhaps there's a deal that is "getting close", but hasn't been made public yet because the final details are being ironed out. Perhaps KP considers there to be better options available this summer and his timeframe for a deal isn't the same as some poster's on this board. In any event, since certain posters don't know diddly about the truth of this situation, calling KP out as being scared to make a deal is just laughable given his history as Blazers' GM in making multiple deals that have all turned out to the Blazers' advantage.
No way would l want to include Rudy for Wallace. I would probably include Rudy for Butler but not Wallace.
They reported a fake email as possible news. I think it was Sergio for Nate Robinson. No matter that the fake trade rumor was ludicrous for NY. I'd like to know where the "deal is dead" news came from since I haven't seen it online anyplace. These guys actually in contact with the Blazer front office? I doubt it.
serioulsy if w edont make a deal....its an absolute disgrace on pritchards part. no other way around it. we have the best contract in teh NBA to offer and we cant get a deal done???? sorry if no deal is made.... kp loses the great gm status crap. how can you not make a move when teams are begging to shed salary????
Chad Ford: Blazers trade talks I don't think this has been posted already forgive me if it has. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&page=TradeTalk-090217
why? you want him to make a deal just to get a deal done? if the deal isn't there then i'd favor him not doing anything then us getting hosed in a deal just because.
Exactly. The only way I'm upset with KP is if Wallace and/or Butler both get traded elsewhere for less value than RLEC. Ed O.
Re: Chad Ford: Blazers trade talks then wtf is pritchard wanting? add in some young players and we could get back a star
What's the difference. I would bet you would be bitching about the player we traded for before his first game as a Blazers is over. I would guess even before half time. You would say the guy sucks and we made the wrong trade or we should have keep whoever we did trade.
problem is... pritchard OVER VALUES players like most of you. Other then Rudy, Joel, Oden, LA, Roy....everyone should be on the block. Nobody after those names should be declined to get wallace or butler.
The problem is...you have no idea how KP values his players. Nor do you have any basis for the claims you've been making about him other than your growing impatience for a deal.
i agree, except i think rudy should be on the block. i dont think batum should be on the block, and bayless should be in between the trade block and untouchable i like batum, and bayless better than rudy
Heh. Hilarious that you say we all overvalue the players, and then you put more players as untouchable than I would. For the right return, Rudy, Przybilla and Aldridge would all be available. Technically, that goes for Roy and Oden, too, but realistically there isn't a return that would be offered that would make them smart to deal. MIXUM, you and Pritchard overvalue the players.
I am assuming that none of these trades are happening at this point. Trade deadline is going to pass soon, and they would have happened by now.
