    OT: Tyson Chandler Got Traded

ESPN Mark Stein: Tyson to OKC for Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox

I'm really surprised. I didn't see this coming. I know they are trying to stay away from the lux tax but you think they would of given the team more time to grow together.

I wonder if this means that they won't want to spend money on Ben Gordon. They were 1 of the few teams that wanted him.

It's not going to take a lot of money to get BG, he'll probably sign for considerably less than Chandler is making.

I blame me. I was trying to findout about what's going on with Boozer and Chandler, to see if the Bulls have any interest in trading for both and pairing them together. Like a minute later, Chandler got traded.

The Hornets must really be up shit creek financially.

    Here’s their salary outlook.

    I’ve got them at $50.6M
    - $2.8M (Chucky Atkins)
    + $1M (Serge Ibaka)
    + $4M Draft pick
    = $52.8M.

Figure the salary cap at anywhere up to $61M, giving them probably $8.2M. Enough to make a reasonable but not overpowering offer for Gordon or another FA. They could, of course, also shed other salary before then.

They’ll have 11-12 players under contract, so they won’t have any meaningful cap holds.

New Orleans wasn't that big to begin with, and a lot of people haven't come back. I wouldn't be shocked to see them move to Seattle in the next couple of years. They have an out in their lease if they don't draw enough fans. For a change, it's not like they haven't put talent on the floor.

Why in the hell would they move to Seattle. Man, they had their chance. If they move I would guess maybe Las Vegas. That would be cool to have a team in Vegas. Talk about distractions.

They should move to Oklahoma and be renamed the Thunder, and the current Thunder should be relocated back to Seattle.

Interestingly enough, the current Thunder are doing what the OKC Hornets did and stocking up on former area players. Des Mason, now Chandler
