The Cavs want front court help to pair with the King. Cleveland GM Danny Ferry is trying to land Amare Stoudemire and is dangling guard/forward Wally Szczerbiak's $13.7 million expiring contract which is a huge trade asset. The Cavs also were offering young players like J.J. Hickson, Anderson Varejao and Daniel Gibson in addition to their 2009 first-round draft pick.

The Suns don't appear too anxious to complete a deal with the Cavs. How about dealing them Mags and Crawford for Wally World and Anderson Varejao? We get rid of the Mags contract, alleviate the backcourt jam, and pick up two beefy front court studs who can run. I, especially like JJ Hickson. The Cavs get Mags who is a scoring machine who can rebound and come off the bench. They get Jamal Crawford who will help them stretch out the defense and solve their need for a backup PG.

    This trade works:
The Warriors get Wally World, Anderson Varejao, and JJ Hickson.
The Cavs get Corey Maggette, Jamal Crawford, and Brandan Wright.

Just ignore what Hollinger says on the bottom there. LOL.

While I don't want to ship out Wright, I would do it to get rid of two big and somewhat bad contracts. Of course we would stink next year until the cash frees up, and with the Warriors management in disarray, whatever they replace Craw and Mags with might be even worse. If you replace Nelson, Cohan, and Rowell with the trade, I'd be a lot more optimistic about it.

Does Cleveland do that trade though? I doubt it.

Will Warriors do it? They really should. But, with today's economy like you know what, I think many other teams would like to shed contracts as much as possible, and Cavs can probably get better deals than getting overpaid 5 years and 3 years contracts...

The Cavs might consider something involving Stephen Jackson, though. But for Mags/Craw? I don't know. That would be great for GSW though. Give the playing time to Belly/Morrow, see what Hickson can do... of course Varejao would become our new back-up C... heck, Wallyworld might become our new back-up C as long as Nellie's around...

Unless we get a good big man in return, no on trading Wright or Randolph or Biedrins.
