Jamison? lol Maybe it's just me, but I never really thought he was that great of a player. He hasn't won anywhere, it's not like he set the world on fire with the Wizards or the Mavs. Celtics are still the best team in the east IMO, I still don't think this gives the Cavs enough to beat them.
We handled the Cavs, adding Jamison doesn't push them over the limit. We know how to defend LeBrick. I would be more worried about the Cavs than the Celtics if this happened, but Kobe, Gasol, Odom > LeBron, Williams, Jamison. We should have Bynum, too.
I don't see how this makes them better than us at all with Bynum back. I don't think we'll even see them again this season. I doubt they beat Boston, trade or not.
He was the 6th man on the Mavs (which was ridiculous, wasn't Antoine Walker starting over him? ). He's an extremely consistent player who is very under the radar. Playing next to Lebron I think will make him better. That trade would basically give them 3 All-Star caliber players, barring chemistry and getting Jamison situated, they would be my favorites for the title
Yet for someone so good, he has yet to make it out the first round his entire career. Still don't see how this trade will make them better than us, or the Celtics for that matter.
Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and KG > LeBron, Mo Williams, Antawn. Antawn is good, but he isn't enough to put Cleveland at the top.
The Wizards don't just want to create an Eastern Conference powerhouse, and they hate the Cavs too after getting beat all those times in the playoffs.
Can't say that I would be worried. Call it arrogance or what have you, but I still think we'd be better. A trio of Kobe/Odom/Gasol is better than LeBron/Jamison/Williams. Plus, if we get Bynum back, that makes us even more dangerous. Did I mention our bench is also a lot better than theirs? Honestly, I don't think they do this anyways. There's been talks that they're going to stand pat and keep Wally cause they don't want to mess with their chemistry.
He got past the first round in 04-05. But the Wiz have lost three years in a row to the Cavs. I just can't see this deal going through, just like the Mavs/Kings probably wouldn't help the Lakers back in the day.
Great point Huevon. You're smarter than you seem! I completely forgot that the Cavs have bounced the Wizards out three years in a row. I'd be surprised if this happened. The two teams, especially DeShawn and LeBron, have a disliking for each other. BTW, kidding about that jab in there.
Like I told you proles a few weeks ago, the Lakers are a top 7 team, maybe. The trade rumors I keep hearing will let several teams leap past us.
