KP has put way too much into building a winning chemistry in this team to risk losing that by trading Outlaw.

This team has chemistry. The guys are humble, thier egos in check, they stay out of trouble, they are low key, they enjoy each others company (recent article how they choose to go out to dinner and stuff with each other) . . . they aren't about the bling as much as improving as a team with one goal in mind, championship. And the glue to all that . . . Outlaw.

He is everyone's best friend. He is a happy go lucky talent that doesn't complain about coming off the bench, minutes or position he plays. He will take the game winning shot when asked or sit on the bench and watch . . . without questions or drama. He is one of the first guys celebrating with the Blazer that made a big shot, no matter who that player is . . . he even seem to have developed a special bond with Oden as a couple of times those two celebrated on the court GO takes his big "old" hand and rubs travis head (don't see Oden being that animated with other players).

Bottom line, I know the chant here is to trade Outlaw, but his value is being underestimated . . . Travis is a key ingredient to this team.

Yeah. last year, EVERYONE on the team loved Jarret Jack. Locker room favorite. Everyone's best friend. Always joking around with everyone. We had great chemistry. we traded him for Jerryd Bayless, who came in with a little chip on his shoulder, and an attitude. Our chemistry sure is fucked right now, isn't it?

what a mistake is thinking outlaw will ever be a decent defender.

here we go.... lets keep a guy who gives up 20 points on the defensive side of the ball.

maybe we can keep sergio as a starter

I completely agree. Repped. Even though he does stupid things, he is a great piece to have off the bench and could possibly alter our teams chemistry.

The Blazers IMO have too many nice guys. We need some 'Tude in the Lockeroom. They can be the nicest guys off court you want. When in the game, I want players who are going to dish it out and not take it.

 And I was a J.Jack fan!

The guys will get over losing their buddy Outlaw. It's Outlaw's 6th year in the league, he isnt going to get any/much better.

Um, JJ sucked. TO is a much better player than JJ will ever be. Regardless, I still think he is expendable.

You bring up a good point about JJ. But JJ wasn't happy go lucky . . . it's all good . . . type of player. He complained about playing SG, he strongly voiced his opinion about starting and would sulk.

I think they will miss Outlaw much more . . . hope I don't find out.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
He's a good player and good guy. I don't think the team will resent him being traded in an effort to improve the team. If the team were fucking with him or fostering a hostile relationship between management and players, that would be a problem. Pritchard simply doing his job in trying to build the best team possible would probably be appreciated by the players. I'm sure they'd miss Outlaw, but appreciate KP pro-actively trying to help their future as a team.

Depends who you move him for. Butler - sure. VC? Not so sure - given his age. Wallace - questionable but still worth considering.

Trading Outlaw is a mistake. He is fucking clutch. Hang onto him. Without him last season, we win about 35 games.

Intersting . . . I didn't think of the other players reactions as much as how he brings a bonding to the team that could be in danger of breaking.

But how about the impact on other players. They all know this is a business, but to lose a good friend . . . well that just rubs in their face this is all business. Do they appreciate a proactive KP or start watching their backs? :D

Not against trading Outlaw, as he's probably our most tradeable playing asset right now. I do wonder who plays the back-up 4 right now if he moves on. We've seen the Channing Frye/Ike Diogu experiment this year, and yuck. So if Outlaw goes and we get SF du'jour back, who plays the 4 behind LaMarcus?

As long as he scores 21 that is fine with me. But I don't really see his man going off night after night. Some nights he plays very good D. It all depends on the matchup. Granted he leaves his man open open too much 23 feet from the basket. But at the PF he has some good nights. Is he the best defender around? No. But as usual you are fucking embellishing the truth!

Chemistry comes from winning. It doesn't lead to it.

If the Blazers are able to get a better player by shipping Outlaw out, the team should win more and the team will therefore have better "chemistry".
