    OMG WOW!

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3913836

Ok so two options for us!

    1) Carter and Hassell for Tracy McGrady

    OR

    2) Artest, Battier, Head, Landry for Boone and Carter

As much as I love Tracy McGrady, I would hate to see him go, but I think its time we move on! Lets do it HOUSTON!

option one improves the rockets considerably.

option two doesn't help at all and might even hurt.

The Nets already denied the McGrady offer. The second offer Nets sent to Houston so all Houston has to do is agree with it and the trade goes through

Fuck, seems like this might screw us in the ass even worse. TMac/Carter/Yao sounds fucking awesome, but then we lose all of our defense

Doesn't make sense to do the second deal from a Rockets perspective.

Why would the Nets take back a player who should retire for Carter?

right. assuming all the information is correct, the tmac offer was what the rockets made. the nets countered with the other offer and that is where the negotiations are as of when that article was written(or when they got their information).

don't expect houston to agree to that deal though.

Trade Yi to Houston. They will be more popular than the Lakers.

because tmac only has two years on his contract while vince has four. that would be the main motivation behind a deal like that.

Eating TMac's contract is better than a bad trade

The Nets proposal is a bad trade.

I give up on the Rocket franchise if they throw in Landry.
I will hunt down Les and Morey myself

Head, Battier, Artest-----I can see that

    -----------------------
thinking about it for a second
I don't like giving up both our perimeter defenders

what about something like tmac, head, and the nets choice of either artest or battier for vince, hassell, and simmons?

nets can either take battier for the long term or choose artest to cut as much salary as possible. the rockets dump tmac but pick up simmons and hassell's bad deals(though they end the same time as tmac's and get vince. the rockets could throw in a future pick as well. with artest, this deal saves the nets around 9 mil next season. with battier, they save significantly less but still get out from under vince's big deal and should still be in position to be able to make big offers in 2010 as battier makes 10 mil less than vince that season.

I like the trade proposal Rocketeer, but I don't think the Rockets should include a 1st round pick.

Ironically enough these two teams are playing one another tonight and Houston is killing them 56-40 at the half.
