agree we need more than roy, but aldridge actually has better "clutch" stats than outlaw. we just don't tend to go to him much at the end of games.

That's the problem with players who come straight outta high school or 1 and done, it takes em a while to find there spot and learn the NBA game. I believe that Outlaw has not even close to peaked, and could really be a perfect 6th man with a polished offense. Yea he's progressed slow but it's there, he good moments continue to increase and become more impressive. Sure some make you bite your tongue but when the team finally develops into a contender I think he could really be a special piece. Its hard to be consistent on an in-consistent team.

you think travis outlaw is stupid, well I say travis outlaw is like forest gump. he's so stupid that he's genius. he's the perfect guy for the blazer's. He's a team player and he's extremely coachable. When they interview him after he hits a game winning shot, he says, "coach told me to go out there and get my shot, and thats what I did." How could you want much more. He doesn't complain, he plays quality minutes, and is a perfect role player for the blazers. I say "stupid is is stupid does." :NOTMARIS:

Not to mention that his jump shot is nearly unblockable.

Being coachable is great, but what if it all goes in one ear and doesn't register?

Travis's value to this team has been as the second option in crunch time. If we make a trade for one of these small forwards, essentially we'll be getting back another second option who can also help the team in more ways than Travis could. I really like Travis, he's been clutch for us, but if he helps us land one of a number of these alleged small forward options then that's an upgrade. This would help Travis as well since he wants to grow as a player, and that opportunity would probably be limited if he's coming off of our bench. This looks to me like a win-win for Portland and for Travis. I would always cheer for him no matter what team he plays for.

Look, I like Travis and I appreciate the role he fills for this team. But the bottom line to me is that he just doesn't fit. We are developing into a high BBIQ team that passes the ball around until we find the open man. That ain't TO.

I wish him the best of luck, and will always be happy when he does well. However, his future lies elsewhere.
