I guess that elbow from Mbenga was so hard it knocked the Kwameness into Mihm. My observations of the new guys after watching about 5 minutes of garbage time. Adam Morrison doesn't belong in the NBA and Shannon Brown is Ariza 2.0
Honestly Shape, Mihm's touch has been off all year. I don't trust him at all and he's a bit turnover prone. He's just good for some boards but the guy needs to build up some strength. He's everything Pau is stupidly accused of.
Also Shape, that's a little harsh on Ammo. Give him a few more games to fit into this setting then we can just think of him as a victory cigar. Both of them handled the ball poorly tonight at pretty much all times.
It's not the shots AMMO missed, but just watching him on defense was a joke. He can't jump, his lateral movement is non-existent, I didn't think I'd ever see someone less athletic than Puke. Right now I don't see any upside in him. I was hoping we could unload him for a veteran front court player, but Joe Smith is off the market now.
Shape could you explain in detail why he did so well in College? Just curious to see what you think. I simply expect pure offense from the guy, that's all.
Well for the most part Gonzaga didn't play in a competitive division and Morrison was featured as the main option on offense. He had a lot of confidence and he had a height advantage against most of his defenders. In the NBA he doesn't have the same advantages. Guys defending him are more athletic and taller than Morrison and he hasn't been successful which has shattered his confidence. Maybe he's just one of those players who peaked in college.
Shape, we knew we didn't get him for defense. His knee isn't completely healthy, either. I expect purely offense. If your expecting defense, your hopes are too high. Shannon Brown can fucking jump. Jesus Christ. That block was so clean, he got screwed. I'm surprised we blew them out. I think Gasol's triple double was the most quiet one I've ever seen. Odom was a beast.
I don't expect him to be a defensive stopper, but he can't even compete out there for us. I just can't see him being in the NBA very long.
Wow Shapester. lol You do not have your A game today. Nah just playing, but his contract runs on one more year after this season is finished. Then he has a qualifying offer which the Lakers will not accept. Sorry
Shape, your posting is like Puke right now. What is that, three mistakes? Give him a chance before you kill him Shape.
I'm pretty sure it's a team option. Section 1. Rookie Scale Contracts for First Round Picks. (a) Each Rookie Scale Contract between a Team and a First Round Pick shall cover a period of two (2) Seasons, but shall have an Option in favor of the Team for the player’s third Season and a second Option in favor of the Team for the player’s fourth Season. The Option for the player’s third Season shall be exercisable during the period from the day following the last day of the first Season through the immediately following October 31. The Option for the player’s fourth Season shall be exercisable during the period from the day following the last day of the second Season through the immediately following October 31. Such Options shall be exercisable by notice to the player that is either personally delivered to the player or his representative or sent by pre-paid certified, registered, or overnight mail to the last known address of the player or his representative, signed by the Team, informing the player that the Team has exercised such Option.
It isn't. I remember reading that Brown's contract is up after this year and Morrison is here through next year.
