Wally, Hickson, 1st Round Pick & Varejao for Amare, great attempt by Ferry to land Amare. If the Suns refuse to deal Amare, what about offering that same package for Shaq?

    ^ i dont think so.

i think other teams can give Kerr exactly what he is looking for (young player, expiring contract, picks)

e.g. Bulls... They can give Hinrich or Gordon or Deng, noah or thomas, a big expiring contract in Gooden or hughes (in time for 2010) and a pick.

Why would the Bulls do it? That trade would leave them with a lineup of Rose - Hinrich or Gordon - Deng or Nocioni - Amare - Noah or Thomas or Gooden

I don't think the Cavs should offer that same package for Shaq, and I think that that's just about the right level for what to offer for Amare. Maybe add in another future first round pick. It's gonna be a game of chicken over the next 30 hours or so to see who caves in first, if at all. Should be interesting.
