Mike Barrett has not updated his blog for days and considering its trade deadline time and ODEN is out tonight.....its shocking that a guy who post sometimes twice a day has SAID NOTHING. I would have to think the blazers have asked broadcasters not to discuss rumors at all. In the past barrett and rice always talked trades... but now nothing. Thats a strong indication to me. Also Butler is sitting out practice today.
So Barrett has posted about trades in the past and trades happened. Now, there's nothing about trades...so that indicates to you a trade IS going to happen? Doesn't make sense. A trade might happen or it might not. But it's got nothing to do with Mike Barrett's blogging frequency. (PS - the broadcast crew gets the all star break off too...that's probably why he hasn't posted in days.)
Did it occur to you that Barrett might take the opportunity at the All Star break to get in a little mini-vacation of his own?
Maybe waiting for something to actually happen? There's enough crap being made up elsewhere on the web.
I agree, the trades are going to happen, but all the conspiracy theories floating around have nothing to do with it. Mike Barret and Rice weren't on NBA courtside on Monday...does that mean something too. No...it just means they are enjoying there few days that they got off. Barret has said that since he started the blog it has taken up all his time so he probably just unplugged for a few days. He'll be back on the air tonight. and you can probably rest assured that they'll do a little speculation on the trades. Might not be helpful information, but they probably know as much as everyone else....NOTHING
