Re: Ruffin to Portland Diogu is essentially an expiring, too, though. So I guess if this trade really happens, the Blazers think Ruffin can be a more useful backup power forward. Maybe it's the classic "challenge" trade...each team trades a disappointing player believing the other team's guy is a bit better.
