This is bad news for people opposed to a Hinrich trade.

The original Hinrich + Thabo for Collins + Cardinal deal added a small amount of salary to the CHI payroll, but it was enough to push them into the lux. Once in the lux, they have to pay a penalty of perhaps an additional $3 mil.

This deal creates a little extra cap space, and would allow them to do the Hinrich deal with us and still avoid the lux.

I actually on't mind trading for Hinrich...he will allow us to focus on drafting a Center and SF. He's a smart player who can score as well...and my biggest thing about this trade is we only have to give up Collins and Cardinal (I'll kinda miss Cards)....this allows us to still use Miller until we can find a suitable offer
