Now that TMac is out for the year I don't think this deal is getting done.

i would love to have baron for tmac strait up. but there were other rumors its baron for shane, rafer, and a 1st pick. thats a fuckin terrible trade for another injury fuckin prone guard.

if rox are gonna trade for baron, they cant include rafer, shane, and a 1st pick. they need more than baron in return for that. if rox pull that trade off i'll blow them up myself

It's funny how McGrady's value fell of in the last few years. Went from one of the best players in the league (at one time, better than Kobe) to like one of the average players of the league. I wouldn't mind the Battier-Alston-1st round deal. We'd have 3 guys who can create their own shot, and have some strength and defense in Davis. But a McGrady for Davis straight up trade wouldnt be bad either.

LOL What? He was never better than Kobe. His offensive game was similar, but TMac never had the "IT" factor Kobe plays with.

I won't be surprised if TMac retires, I don't think his heart is in basketball anymore, if it ever was.

I don't know, back in 01-02 or 02-03 it was a toss-up between who was better.

04-05 Tracy was better. After that season, Kobe. I didn't see the Magic play enough before that season, but Tracy did have better statistical numbers in the regular season and the playoffs.

It was either his last season as a Magic or the year before, not exactly sure, but there was a season where McGrady dropped I think around 32/season. That was the season where I think McGrady was better than Kobe, but after that, it was all Kobe.

Tracy was better in 04-05. I remember Rockets fans were laughing at the Kobe-McGrady trade rumors.

I think since TMac has been on the Rockets, Kobe's been the better player. Some thought TMac was better because the Rockets were winning, but from an individual standpoint I think Kobe was and is better at almost every aspect of the game.

T-Mac was the best player in the NBA his first year on the Rockets. After that he lost it all. Kobe only played in 66 games, and turned it over twice as much as T-Mac in the same amount of minutes.

T-Mac is a washed up, has been. All he did was make false promises and excuses before and after that season.
