Now the quotes i brough are examples of pure hate.edit: Kobe's lived up to the hype, 3 championships, 81 points, 12 3's. And all his other awards.Nitro, can you explain to me what these false comments made to hype kobe up are?</div>I know people purely hate him. It is because of the overhype he gets, and has gotten ever since coming out of HS. Same with Bron. I like Kobe because he is a fantastic player to watch, 2nd closest thing to MJ I have ever seen. But, he is still not perfect, and has a lot to prove IMO. Even then, some of the hype he gets is ridiculous. I don't even need to bring quotes, just look at some topics: "Is Kobe best ever?", "Why Kobe is MVP", etc...I'm also sick of people hating on his teammates. They are an average bunch, but with a star player like Kobe, they certainly aren't overachieving. Just another example of Laker fans overglorifying him and downgrading his teammates to make him seem like god. Scratchb that, they aren't Laker fans. They are just Kobe fans.
For a team built around a superstar, it is average. Similar to some of the Magic teams T-Mac had from 2001-2003. Lots of average role players, except Odom.
Im not talking about Melo's shot selection at the end of the game. Im talking about it through the whole game.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ Mar 11 2006, 04:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>So the Magic had a bad team so...what does that matter.</div>I am saying the type of team. Superstar with a bunch of average role players, and one above average player.
The lakers are overachieving. Orlando in the day were in the east, their division was weaker than the pacific division lakers are playing in. Both teams overachieved.Just another example of Laker fans overglorifying him and downgrading his teammates to make him seem like god. Scratchb that, they aren't Laker fans. They are just Kobe fans. How many games have you watched? Like seriously, how many times does the ball just come back to kobe because no-one can shoot? Latley the team is playing well but before that the team sucked besides a few [DG,MIHM].The reason why odom is playing well is because Phil told Odom to not let the offense come to him, let him go to it. He's become more agressive. That is why he played horribly.

The ball does go to Kobe a ton because others can't create shots on their own (or Kobe is on fire). All year Odom has played well, Smush has been a surprise, and Cook has been solid. They certainly aren't great, but they don't suck.Again, Odom wasn't agressive because he is still unsure about the triangle and how to play with Kobe. Once that trust bonds, which it looks like it is starting too, they will be a great duo.
Yeah, latley the actually look like their insync. If odom could play like he has latley then we wouldn't be fighting for a playoff spot now.
