I think it's all Bill Bayno's fault. He was working Oden in the summer of '07 - Oden is out for the year. He comes back to the team after Oden played half a season - and he goes down in a heap. He must be a Lakers spy.
Goes down in a heap? Well, he un-heaped himself to come back in and get some rebounds and a couple of dunks and finished the game on the court. I guess we'll see, but his play after the injury suggests to me that the Blazers are just being cautious.
I thought the sarcasm was obvious... I was channeling my inner-MIXUM and going on an un-related, absurd rant concluding in a short-term fix that is not a real fix at all. I thought that was obvious
Does anyone truly care what Quick has to say anymore? I put him right up there with that annoying know-it-all brother-in-law that apparently is the expert on all things important.
As annoying as he's become, and the obvious contempt he seems to display now towards his job and to the people who want info on the team they follow from the guy who's supposed to be delivering it to them... he is still pretty connected. The dude just sounds exasperated by any question he's asked regarding the Blazers though. It's very strange.
No problems. I have nothing against Bill Bayno and I am certain that his presence is a good thing for this team - I should have made a better job of conveying it.
Sure, but is it any info that we can't get via someone else? I can't recall the last time I listened/read an interview/article of his and I felt informed afterwards. I suppose I'd have to go back to the Brandon Biking Summer expose. Well heck, I guess I do remember. Still that was six months ago!
I don't know, but he's the first one to give us an Oden knee update today. I'm not saying he breaks major stories, but he still does deliver info.
Isn't Quick the same guy who wrote in his blog a week or so ago that Blake's shoulder was "NOT HEALING"? Steve looked pretty good last night.
I agree. Didn't expect much from him last night. but i was pleasently surprised. Not to mention that I forgot how well he runs our offense. Atleast the 1st quarter is a good example. The rest of the game not as much.
Except for the fact that the only penetration of the key for buckets in half court offense was all done by Brandon, and a major reason the Blazers almost lost the game is because they were jacking up 3's all night long instead of attacking the paint. Live by the 3, die by the 3. There is no reason Memphis should have been that close, except for the fact the Blazer guards have fallen in love with the 3.
Let's see. (Holds Nazr up to ear) I'm hearing "complete stiff" and "less useful at this point than Steven Hill". So, no change there, then.
