Talking about picking up extra draft picks. Yay! More draft picks! More rookies to push out our championship window even further! More baking! -Pop
Q: How many beers would you need in you to trade for Vince Carter? KP: A lot. KP wouldn't go over what it'd take to bring Jefferson.
If we draft two guys this summer, guess how many rookies we'll have. That's right: 2. Why? Because Rudy, Batum, Oden, and Bayless WON'T BE ROOKIES ANYMORE. So really, we'll have FEWER rookies, not more. It's not like those four will be rookies forever. Get a fucking grip, Pop.
"Stand pat was our number one option on the board." Awesome. Glad to hear he didn't even seriously entertain options. -Pop
Standing pat was the no. 1 option This is the team he wanted to go to battle with Players were happy not to be traded. Doing deals in-season is a lot of risk, so much emphasis in getting guys involved in the system and the community. He didn't want to break that. Paul Allen wants to go for it, but doesn't feel the championship window is there yet. Next 29 games is critical, everyone is elevating their game, and can the Blazers?
"I love our guys, these are my guys." Same old rehashed bullshit. He has a love affair with this roster. Grow a pair you fucking punk.
"I think we have an All-Star in Brandon." Gee ... what was your first clue? Was it the first all-star game he played in or the second? -Pop
I told everyone here that KP really didn't want VC and that huge contract. I think he was right on that but if he could have gotten Wallace, RJ or Butler he should have pulled the trigger.
Not really, no. The window is the same as it was at the beginning of this year (I mean really, we draft two guys a year every year). It just didn't move *up*, which is what you guys wanted.
KP didn't want to give up players when they don't know what their upside is. There's too much potential here, and he doesnt' want to give up on them.
The goal now is to simply make the playoffs, and believes the RG crowd will bring the team farther than people think. Interview over.
