The Bucks announcers made it sound like he got hurt doing a dunk or something. Dumbass got what he deserved for standing on top of the backboard and rim.
Do you know how much those guys get paid? A guy I know works for the kings and said the kings mascot start at $180,000 a year!
I hate mascots. Except when they get hurt. A few years ago some hockey mascot caught fire and was rolling around melting the ice. VERY entertaining.
http://www.sptimes.com/2006/11/20/Business/A_career_in_cheer.shtml About 80 percent of the NBA teams, including the Orlando Magic, hire full-time employees to play mascots, with the starting annual salary in the $40,000-$45,000 range, Raymond said. About half of the teams in the other major sports leagues hire full-time workers, and half pay their mascots on a per-game basis, with payment in the $100-$200 per-game range, he added.
I'd imagine Benny the Bull is the highest paid mascot in the league. He was the national mascot of the year in college before going pro. Now Benny does all sorts of high flying dunks.
