I've now heard more than once that the Blazers may fight to still get the Darius cap space back. Sorry if it's been covered recently, but does anyone know the score on this? Has this been written about anywhere or is it just internal at 1 center court and more of a rumor at this point? Thanks
KP was asked directly about the Miles situation by the guys on the Fan this pm. He answered that he had no comment on the situation. Seemed like lawyerspeak to me. I've "written" about it extensively, however.
Perhaps this was one of the factors that lead to the lack of trades. Maybe KP thinks they can appeal and get back their cap space for this summer. However, I don't know who we would go after this summer. The FA list doesn't look impressive, but we could use the capspace by taking back a player making max dollars without having to give anything back, so if there is a salary dump, we could use the extra capspace the Miles' contract is taking up. I guess we'll have to wait to see how this progress.
