I could see why KP deserves the benefit of the doubt. So far he has only made one bad call . . . and almost every other GM would have taken Oden as well.
If the team didn't do that deal, I think KP should be GM for life. Now trade Outlaw or Webster for Wallace in the off-season while under the cap if that's the deal the team wants, and let Batum blossom as a bench player for a year or two.
KP follows the Spurs' model on organizational culture, and he has an owner that is willing to spend to win. I don't see what the problem is at all.
