...in Boston two years ago? Fucking awesome. I think he might be the only player in league history to get MVP chants pretty much every where he has played. Boston, New York, LA, Oakland, Miami, Memphis, San Antonio... *killing time for class to start*
Yeah, that was embarrassing. The only thing about that was it was late in the game and most of the Celtics fans had left already. Plus, by the end of that season, the team was basically giving tickets away, so it wasn't a typical crowd there.
It just shows me how popular Kobe is, even though the media tries to rip the guy whenever they can. Was there a reaction on Boston sports radio to it, Thrilla? Do you remember?
I went to one Grizzlies game this year and that game happened to be the one against the Lakers in December. The only game where we sell out is against the Lakers. The game we have half the arena filled is against the Lakers. It was pretty pathetic not because they go to games against the Lakers, but because they booed the Grizzlies at points and cheered by the Lakers. I understand there are a lot of Kobe fans, but cheering for the away team and booing your home team is just another example why the Grizzlies have a horrible fan base.
I remember that game... but what exactly did he do to deserve the chants? 50 pt game? 40+? Clutch 4th quarter?
Hey, I hate to say it, but the Lakers have a bigger fanbase of Bandwagoners than any damn team in sports! LMAO. At least where I stay. lol
Hell, more than half of those fans that sit and watch at Staples are bandwagoners. The real fans are the ones up in the bleachers.
