wtf? that whole weekend was prolly one of the worst alll star. boring, mild entertainment, good thing i had other things to do. good taht the nba got more viewers tho, hopefuly theyll stay tuned for the 2nd half of the season, cuz that is what you call entertainment.
Why not? there's a new generation of NBA stars being brought through the ranks. Plus, there's the ever-expanding international game growing in popularity everyday. With the NBA and it's current marketing, the NBA will continue to grow.
I agree about the international popularity growing, but this ratings are about the USA. According to a Gallup Poll basketball's popularity in the USA is declining after reaching it's peak in 97.
Nowadays it's telecasted in much more countries and with the fast improving technology i think it'll be showed all over the world one day
One thing to remember is that last year's all star festivities were amazing and really did open the eyes of many marketing projects to open up to more viewers. This is all just speculation, but many probably liked last year's weekend and thought that this year would most certainly top it.
Not to mention that more people are out of work, so instead of going out on the town, they're staying in more and watching some more TV.
