Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio SpursMarch 12, 2006 at 2:30 CSTHouston Rockets[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]PG: Rafer AlstonSG: David WesleySF: Tracy McGradyPF: Juwan HowardC: Yao MingSan Antonio Spurs[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]PG: Tony ParkerSG: Manu GinobiliSF: Bruce BowenPF: Tim DuncanC: Nazr MohammedPreviewThe Rockets this season are 0-1 when playing the Spurs. The last time they played the Rockets only shot 38% from the field while the Spurs shot 46% from the field. The thing they did wrong was shooting 19 three pointers were unnecessary. They needed to get to the line for the most of that game. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker were to much for the Rockets last time they met. They need to find away to stop them. But they can't forget about Manu who scored 15 on them. The dis-advantage the Rockets have right now is that they don't have McGrady. But Yao has now proven he can win games without Mac. But the question is can he win against big teams against the Spurs without Mac? The answer will be tomorrow. Yao should have some help. Swift has been playing solidly this week and is continuing his tear. Bogans is doing pretty solid also...same with Skip. If they can some play as a team and not shoot a lot of shots beyond the arc and drive it in IMO we can win it if not pretty damn close. Yao will go on a tear. But there is one problem. That problem is Juwan Howard. Hes been really cold this week and is turning it over everytime. IMO I think JVG should start Stromile Swift over Juwan Howard. Yao and Swift need to work together to shut down Tim Duncan and shut Tony down when he goes inside. We will win if they work together...or pretty close. My PredictionSpurs by 4.

We lost.We lost 'cause we kept turning it over and had no defense. I don't understand why Juwan got played 31 minutes and Swift didn't. Juwan freaken sucks. I hate him! We had an answer to Tony but not Manu, Michael and Duncan. This needs to stop. We better beat NJ tomorrow.

Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles LakersApril 2, 2006 at 2:30 CSTHouston Rockets[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]PG: Rafer AlstonSG: Luther HeadSF: Kieth BogansPF: Juwan HowardC: Yao MingLos Angeles Lakers[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]PG: Smush ParkerSG: Kobe Bean Bryant :lol:SF: Lamar OdomPF: Brian CookC: Kwame BrownPreview
QUOTE

Houston (32-40) at La Lakers (39-35) 3:30 pm EDT LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - Superstar Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers hope to inch closer to sixth place in the Western Conference as they welcome in the Houston Rockets on Sunday. Bryant scored 24 of his 43 points in the second half and Kwame Brown and Lamar Odom contributed 12 apiece as the Lakers posted a 106-93 triumph over Seattle on Friday for their fifth win in six games. Los Angeles is holding the seventh spot in the Western Conference postseason race, 1 1/2 games ahead of eighth-place Sacramento (37-36) and just 2 1/2 behind sixth-place Memphis (41-32), which has lost three in a row. With his next 40-point outburst, Bryant will tie the single-season franchise record of 23 such games set by Hall of Famer Elgin Baylor, who accomplished the feat during the 1962-63 season. All-Star Yao Ming had 38 points and 11 rebounds and rookie Luther Head added 20 points as the Rockets shot 56 percent from the floor but barely escaped with a 105-103 victory over Washington on Friday. Houston has won the last two meetings at Staples Center, including a 76-74 triumph on December 18 in which Tracy McGrady hit the winning basket with three-tenths of a second remaining. McGrady is out with a back injury
My PredictionLakers by 10.
