Hard for me to say. Gallo is only relegated to about 12 MPG. Based on what I've seen, Gallo is a better at ballhandling, passing, and possibly shooting. Knicks up 42-22 in the first quarter.
It's all relative to their positions, right? How good is Gallinari's ballhandling/passing, etc. for his position. Bargnani's is exceptional for his. He's improved his defense a lot, and rebounding's really the other major aspect that needs improvement.
Not saying much, IMO. Triano's not an NBA head coach. Mitchell isn't either, but he does a good job of creating the illusion of one.
Yeah, but the Knicks drafted Gallo in hopes of molding him into a PF. If they play the same position (or they will eventually), then Gallo trumps him in that aspect. They do have a pretty similar skillset, nonetheless. I think it's too early to tell, since Gallo has been out most of the season. Nate is not playing games out here.
Under Mitchell, didn't the Raptors have one of their best seasons? He also had the Raptors around .500 before he was fired. I don't follow the Raptors as much as you do, but based on the W/L column of late, he has been sort of successful.
The Raps drafted Bargs in hoping to mold him into a C. I think both teams will fail, but Bargnani's a lot closer to succeeding simply because he can guard his own position.
Marginally. I think he rode the coat tails of a pretty excellent group of players in '06. But he was never a good enough coach to take them anywhere past a first round playoff exit. There's a reason we regressed horribly with essentially the same roster in '07.
Good point. I guess we'll have to see. Hopefully Danilo doesn't regress in his 2nd year like Bargs did. It took him a lot of work to get past that season.
