brooks stepped up big in the dallas game. hit a dagger 3pt shot w/ 30 sec left. Jason Kidd guarding him. We cant say by this game only he's ready but he's a lot closer then he ever was with this game. I dont see how he cant take over the starting pg job. lowry did a good job backin up too.

rockets are gonna be playing a lotta game the next 2 weeks so we'll know soon if brooks can be a legit starting pg.

ya thats a terrible pg list, just fuckin terrible. good we got brooks on our squad.

Moochie Norris is by far the best PG on that list.

turnovers are going to haunt the Rockets at PG

AB played good but those careless turnovers can't continue
Same with Lowry, who also has a D problem

combined they had 10 ast and 8 TO

Von looks like he is rushing everything and it is hurting his game

I like the new look Rockets

moe, you gotta take into account that everyone was turning the ball over last night, not just the PGs. Of course, when the PGs are that fast, turnovers are bound to happen. Brooks a couple of times last night almost lost the ball because he was moving too fast for the ball to keep up. The knowing of when to run and when to slow it down takes time and experience to master. If we really run like Adelman wants us to, though, turnovers will be unavoidable. I'll take 2 more a game, considering we'd be getting 5, or 10 more possessions.

Brooks' game last night was huge, and his and Lowry's ability to get to the lane at will is going to be valuable when our outside shots aren't hitting, or when Yao is rendered ineffective by the defense. If Brooks just puts up 14 and 6 a game we'll be in good hands.

The problem is the Rockets turn it over more, and the other team ends up with more possessions. Yesterday, the Mavs attempted 10 more field goals and made one more shot than the Rockets. If the Mavs made the same amount of three pointers, then how did the Rockets win? I never thought I would say this about the Rockets after last season, but they won because they attempted and made more free throws. Attacking the basket, and contesting shots without fouling can jumpstart any offense. I hope I see this Rockets team in the playoffs.

The Rockets fought hard to win last night, and they showed they can run with the best. I believe they can overachieve and make it to the WCF.

If we win with brooks' turnovers then we go w/ it. I wish yao ming would cut down his turnovers. doesnt even get 2 asts but almost 3.5 turnovers. hopefully he brings them down in march and april.

Attacking the basket is what Brooks and Lowry do best. It's a double-edged sword, if you attack the basket often you're bound to get blocked or the ball stripped away, turning it over. However, you get more free throws and higher-percentage shots. If turnovers are a byproduct of that, I'm willing to live with it. After all, if all you wanted to do was keep turnovers down, you can just swing it around the perimeter and shoot threes all game.

^Spanoulis didn't make the list either.

True. Which is why I don't see Orlando as a contendor. Live by the three, die by the three. Before, whenever the Rockets would attack the basket, they never look like they want to take lay up. Ever since Tracy quit, everyone is working the ball around and finding open lanes to the basket. They don't seem surprised the ball is in their hands and they have to make a lay up or else T-Mac will start bitching. They can sense his bad attitude. Now the guys are happy he's gone, building chemistry, and winning.

Exactly. The spacing on the floor is a lot better, the Rockets can look around more and not be constantly looking for TMac. We've got point guards who aren't afraid to take the shots while still getting everyone involved. With Brooks and Lowry driving the ball, defenses are collapsing and our shooters are getting open looks. Ball movement is a lot better, and we don't have to put up with Rafer's floaters again. It's great to watch.

They are fun to watch, I haven't been this excited for Rockets games since the first game of the season. Last year, the Rockets finished 40-12, and the chemistry was great until everyone got injured. Other than Landry's sprained ankle, everyone is healthy.

The question now is can Yao lead a team to the WCF all by himself? Can he dominate against wesern conference bigs in a seven game playoff series? You never know what you're going to get from Artest.

Lowry and Brooks combine for 14 assists and 1 turnover tonight.
