<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>AP - 03/12 - 7:19 PM ESTEdgerrin James ran off to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, agreeing to a four-year contract with one of the NFL's weakest teams. James, who became a free agent after seven seasons with the Colts, knew there was little chance he would return to Indianapolis when the season ended in a loss to Pittsburgh in the AFC divisional round. Last month, Colts president Bill Polian admitted he was taking a gamble by letting James hit the free-agent market. And now James is gone after setting team records for rushing attempts (2,188), yards (9,226) and touchdowns (64). Polian could have kept James by using the franchise tag on him for the second straight year. Instead, Polian, decided against the move, which would have increased James' salary next season to more than $10 million. That made James, a four-time Pro Bowl choice, one of the most attractive free agents available when free agency opened Saturday. "I'm happy for him," Colts coach Tony Dungy said in Indianapolis, where he was watching the Big Ten championship game when he was informed of the news. "He was fantastic for us the time we were here, we wish we could have kept him but you can't keep everyone."</div>Wow the Cardinals will have a great offense this year. Two of the best WR's and one of the best RB's. Now all they need is a great QB and they will be like the Colts in offense lol.

Eh, they need to improve their O-Line and most importantly get a QB or their offense will never be anything. Trust me, I'm a Dolphin fan. :no1:

Still, If they can improve their O-Line this off-season I think they will be a 6-8 win team.

I hope Edgerrin really evaluated his options, cause the Cars are going nowhere

The Cards are going up. They didn't spend much on Edgerrin and still have plenty to spread around. New stadium, they host the superbowl, players want to go there now...it's on the up and up.

No, their defense is terrible. Karlos Dansby is good, they need to improve big time on their defense though.

they have a pretty talented young offense now get a good QB and fill some holes on D and they could be playoff contenders

What a great signing for Denny Green. Now some help in the secondary, that could come from the draft and they are favorites to make the playoffs, since they play in one of the weaker divisions in football.

The Cardinals are not going to the playoffs until they get a QB. If Cutler or Young falls to them, their offense will be in great shape, but they still need to improve their O-Line and they have a few wholes on defense that need to be fixed.

Man, if they could get Young they would be such a great offensive team in the future.

A lot of their points against were from special teams and interceptions and fumbles that let the other team score or gave the opposing team a smaller field. The Cards defense has many good players on there like Berry, Wilson, Dansby, Okeafor. Darnell Dockett has shown signs of being a great player. Clancy was a nice signing. Gerald Hayes who was injures all last season and James Darling are nice linebackers also. Our secondary was weak last year but I liked what I saw from Green in his rookie year and hopefully Antrell Rolle coming back from an injury that forced him to miss most the season, lives up to the hype.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LightsOut @ Mar 14 2006, 01:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The Cardinals are not going to the playoffs until they get a QB. They need an o-line. They can win with Warner. After that bad start he played well last season and the have a good recieving core and will have a nice running game finally to help him out. And I would hate to get Young. Cutler might be nice for 2 years from now. I want vernon davis though.

    Re: Edge to the Cards!

So now that I'm home i'll add the positions that the Cards really need. All the need on defense is a CB and they can move Rolle to FS because Griffith will be 36 now... We also need a TE. If somehow Vernon Davis drops to us in the draft I will be so happy. We need an o-lineman which is the biggest need. And being the unbiased fan that I am I got to say that the Cards will miss the playoffs again. They will not improve their o-line anymore and unless Milford Brown plays good like they think and our new o-line coach does a great job, the line will still suck. If the o-line improves and becomes an average one then I can't see how we'll miss the playoffs.

    Re: Edge to the Cards!

The Cards have been on their way up in recent years and are a very young team, I wouldnt be surprised if they do make the playoffs, or at least make a push towards it, Their offense seems to be coming together, and this reminds me of the Rams getting Faulk a few years back for basically nothing, Cards fans can only hope they get the same results as the 01 rams, but I think if they can get momentum they can make it as a wildcard at least.

    Re: Edge to the Cards!

The only problem is that the Cards haven't been able to produce a calibur RB season in many years, and it's not lack of talent at RB either.I know Edge will make a difference there, but the Line has to make him holes, and he was spoiled by Indy's Oline, he's in for a rude awakening in AZ.I think he'll have a decent year, but not near what he's done for the Colt's in the past.
