Yup, this reminds me of how we dealt with Peterson and Donyell. We were offered 1st round picks for them, but decided to keep them on for the playoff pushes, yet we let them both walk the next season. And Peterson didn't even really get a chance in the playoffs. I love Parker, and I realize Bryan's man crush for him, but considering the state of the team, we should have dealt him.
Parker sucks this year and we should've traded him, but I wonder where leadership will come from without him.
I bet he's great in the lockeroom, and he seems to set a pretty good example on the court, but who is really listening to Parker? Is his role as leader really that crucial for us? I just don't see who he's influencing... we've been a team of aging 6th men + Bosh and Bargs ever since Bryan decided to spend all of our money on aging 6th men. We have no real distractions and definitely no hoodlums. Bosh plays however the hell he feels like, though he's not afraid to call out players if they step out of line. Graham is really our only swingman who needs constant guidance and pushing.
